The Opportunity
- Strategic Impact at the Helm of HR Reporting directly to the President and CEO and serving as a vital member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Human Resources will be the principal architect of Stoneside’s human resources strategy.
- Hands-On Leadership in a Growth Environment. This is a highly impactful, hands-on leadership role where the Director will personally design, implement, and refine the HR systems, processes, and training that will support the company's scaling, primarily for the remote workforce of 90+ teammates.
- Championing Culture and Values The Director of Human Resources will be a key champion of Stoneside's unique culture and core values, ensuring that the company remains an exceptional place to work and that its 'five-star experience' promise begins with its own teammates.
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies, systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS, performance management), and processes that align with business objectives and support continued growth.
- Lead the selection and rollout of HR technology to streamline operations and enhance the teammate experience.
- Oversee and enhance all aspects of the talent lifecycle, including talent acquisition, robust onboarding for remote employees, employee relations, performance management, learning and development initiatives, and offboarding.
- Actively foster and embed Stoneside’s core values and a positive, engaging remote work culture that drives the 'five-star teammate experience'.
- Develop and implement programs that enhance teammate engagement, morale, and retention.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and equity.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across the company's 14+ markets.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to the Senior Leadership Team and managers on all HR-related matters.
- Partner with leadership on organizational design, change management, and workforce planning to support growth
Must haves
- Reside in the Colorado Front Range and be available for regular, monthly, or quarterly in-person meetings with the Senior Leadership Team.
- Seven or more years of experience with a significant track record of building, scaling, and single-handedly managing core HR functions.
- Demonstrable success in designing and implementing HR systems, automated processes, and training programs from the ground up.
- Highly organized and process-driven.
- Expertise in managing Human Resources for a primarily remote or distributed workforce, indicating an understanding of associated unique challenges and opportunities.
- Experience and knowledge of U.S. employment law, compliance, and HR best practices across multiple states.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and strong relationships at all levels.

- A proactive, self-starting leader who is comfortable with ambiguity and thrives in a hands-on, dynamic environment, reflecting the company's growth phase.
- Relevant HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
- Experience using modern ATS and HRIS systems
- Experience using Rippling HRIS.
- Experience using JazzHR ATS
- Experience working with a growing company of a similar size
- Salary between $100,000 and $120,000 based on qualifications and experience
- Opportunity to participate in the company's profit-sharing program

- Primarily a remote position with monthly or quarterly meetings in our downtown Denver office.
